Protective effect of zijin capsule on D-galactasamine hydrochloride induced rat liver injury

Abstract
AIM To confirm the effect of Zijin capsule in preventing rat liver injury induced with D-galactasamine hydrochloride.
METHODS Rat liver injury models were induced with D-galactasamine hydrochloride (0.8g/kg) ip daily for two days. Compared with biphenyl diocarboxylate (40.5mg/kg) by liver functions and morphometry on the models, Zijin capsule was given at three doses (2.8, 14.1 and 22.6g/kg) intragastrically, the others were same as those in the model group. NS was given to the normal group. The liver functions were examined with biochemistry and expressed as x-±s. The liver morphometry was observed under microscope and expressed as X-i for hepatic lobule ratio or hepatic lamina ratio, as x-±s for normal hepatic nuclear and infiltrated inflammatory cells. ......
