    【Abstract】 Objective To inquire the levels of insulin-like growth factorⅠ(IGF-Ⅰ)in infant of small for gestational age in order to understand the relation of IGF-Ⅰwith the weights of placent development and intrauterine growth retardation.Methods Using the measurement of unextracting immunity radiation analysis(IRMA)assayed the level of IGF-Ⅰin serum of3days old of infants，birth weights and the weights of placent on100cases of SGA babies.In the study，all the neonate babies included50cases of preterm SGA babies and50cases term SGA babies，51cases light degree of SGA babies and49cases severe degree of SGA babies，and50cases AGA and LGA cases were enrollde.Results The level of IGF-Ⅰin preterm SGA babies was significantly lower than that of in term SGA babies(P<0.05).The level of IGF-Ⅰin light degree SGA babies was very obviously higher than that of in severe degree SGA babies(P<0.001).The level of IGF-Ⅰin SGA was much significantly lower than those of in both of appropriate for gestational age(AGA)and large for gestational age babies(LGA).The serum level of IGF-Ⅰsignificantly correlated with the weight of body and placent(r=0.42 ......
