    【Abstract】 Objective To overcome the subjective errors by drawing regions of interesting(ROIs)within most AD MRI studies to date in our country.An automated method,called voxel based morphometry(VBM)was used to detect MRI differences between groups in this paper.The VBM approach allows a common criterion to complete comparison voxel by voxel,which investigates special atrophy regions cased by gray matter reduction.Methods Volˉunteers including6AD patients and7controls in this study.3D structure images were obtained on a1.5TMR imaging system.Data were processed by optimized VBM.Results Reduction regions of AD were superimposed on a standard structure template.Conclusion The character regions of AD can be auto-detected by the optimized voxel-based morphometry method.
