【摘要】 哮喘病的难治性使得中西医结合治疗支气管哮喘渐成共识。急性发作期或哮喘持续状态时，多采用“西医为主，中医为辅”的治疗方案。西医的“抗气道过敏性炎症”(吸入激素类气雾剂等)治疗是目前比较流行的治疗方法。西医虽然在控制哮喘病状方面取得了较好的疗效，却并不能完全纠正哮喘病人的过敏性体质。中医中药为哮喘的治本提供了良好的前景:通过辨证施治，根据病情分别从补肾、理肺、健脾、调肝、治痰、治瘀、驱风、补虚等入手纠正病人的过敏性体质，有治本和免疫调节的功能，对缓解期的治疗有明显优势。
