    Abstract

    AIM: To investigate the expression of PGE₂, Bcl-2 and Bax in the carcinogenesis of colorectal mucosa and the relationship between them.

    METHODS: The expression of PGE₂, Bcl-2 and Bax were detected in 15 normal colorectal mucous membrane (NCM), 20 chronic colonitis (CHC), 30 colorectal adenoma (CAA), 50 colorectal cancer (CC)and 50 cancer adjacent (CAT) tissues by DAB immunohistochemical staining. The correlations among PGE₂, Bcl-2 and Bax expression as well as the clinical and pathological characteristics were analyzed. ......
