Significance of expression of CD62L and CD11B in pregnancyª²induced hypertension patients

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To study the significance of expression of CD62L and CD11B in patients with pregnancyª²induced hypertension (PIH). METHODS: In 25 pregnant women with PIH and 24 normal pregnant women at third trimester, CD62L and CD11B on polymorphonuclear neutrophils were analyzed by flow cytometry (FCM). Enzymeª²linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to measure soluble Lª²selectin (sLª²selectin) plasma level. RESULTS: The expression of CD62L was significantly lower in PIH patients (22.3¡À2.5)% in control group (41.8¡À4.1)%, P<0.01. The expression of CD11B was significantly higher in PIH patients (55.9¡À5.2)% than in the normal pregnant women (21.2¡À2.2)%, P<0.01. sLª²selectin plasma level was significantly higher in PIH patients (1070¡À89) ng/mL than in normal pregnant women (890¡À58) ng/mL, P<0.01. CONCLUSION: In PIH patients, CD11B and sLª²selectin are obviously elevated, which may play a significant role in stimulating leukocyte activation during PIH. ......
