Quality standard of Huatengzi Granules

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To determine the content of emodin and oleanolic acid in Huatengzi Granules (HTZG) by HPLC. METHODS: ODS C18 column was used to determine emodin, the methanol and phosphoric acid aqueous solution ratio of the mobile phase being 90¡Ã10 and the methanolª²water ratio of the mobile phase being 90¡Ã10 in determining oleanolic acid. The detection wave length was 290 nm and 215 nm, respectively. RESULTS: A good linear relationship was obtained between the peak area and the concentration of emodin from 0.1314 to 0.8760 ¦Ìg (r=0.9997). The average recovery rate of emodin was 99.56% and RSD was 2.20%. A good linear relationship was obtained between the peak area and the concentration of oleanolic acid from 1.17 to 7.80 ¦Ìg (r=0.9998). The average recovery rate of emodin was 100.38% and RSD was l.45%. CONCLUSION: The method employed in this study can be used in quality control of HTZG. ......
