    Diagnosis of the status of renal allograft by using renal graft biopsy

    【Abstract】AIM: To ascertain the value and importance of renal graft biopsy in the evaluation of renal allograft function. METHODS: Thirtyfour cases of renalallograft recipients were included in this study. There were 28 male cases and 6 female cases. The patients were aged from 18 to 52 with a mean age of 346. After transplantation, 20 cases had normal BUN (blood urea nitrogen) and Cr (creatinine), 10 cases were clinically diagnosed as acute rejection and 4 cases as delayed graft function. Of the 34 cases of renal biopsis (RB), 26 were conducted under the realtime ultrasound and 8 cases under CT, respectively. RESULTS: Biopsy was conducted in all the 34 cases and the success rate of puncture under ultrasound guided was 89%, while under CT was 100%. Compared with pathological diagnosis, the correct rate of the clinical diagnosis was 735%. CONCLUSION： Renal graft biopsy provides reliable indexes in the evaluation of renal allograft function. CT guided puncture has a high success rate than ultrasound guided puncture. ......
