     Possible LEnk mechanism of hemodynamics changes in rabbits with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome following burns

    【Abstract】 AIM: To observe the changes of leucineenkephalin (LEnk) content in the arteries of rabbits in early stage after burn and to study the effects of LEnk in the arteries on the hemodynamics changes at early stage following burns. METHODS: The rabbits were divided into 3 groups, the sham burn group (SB), burn group (B), and burn and Naloxone therapy group (BN). The mean arterial pressure (MAP), central venous pressure (CVP) and cardiac output (CO) were monitored and the systemic vascular resistance (SVR) and cardiac index (CI) were calculated. The levels of serum creatine phosphokinase (CK), glutamic pyruvic transaminase (GPT), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine (Cr), blood platelet count (PLT) and HB were detected. RESULTS: ① In comparison with those in SB, the LEnk contents of mesenteric artery, renal artery and pulmonary artery decreased significantly in group B. ② In comparison with those in group B, the CK, GPT and BUN did not change markedly in BN group. CONCLUSION: The decreasing of LEnk contents in arteries may be responsible for the contraction of microvessels, the increase of SVR, and the damage of organ functions. ......
