     Expression of IKK, IκB and NFκB in laryngeal carcinomas: A Western blot study

    【Abstract】 AIM: To detect the expression of IKK, IκB and NFκB in laryngeal carcinomas and to explore its significance for the genesis and development of carcinomas. METHODS: The expression of IKKα, IκBα and NFκB p65 in 20 cases of laryngeal carcinomas and 10 cases of normal laryngeal tissues was detected by Western blot technique. RESULTS: The expression of IKKα and NFκB p65 in laryngeal carcinoma tissues was higher compared with that in normal laryngeal tissues and the expression of IκBα was lower (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: The expression imbalance of IKK, IκB and NFκB is closely associated with the genesis and development of laryngeal carcinomas. ......
