【Abstract】 AIM: To investigate the effect of lowdosage aspirin on vascular endothelial function and serum ferritin (SF) of angina patients. METHODS: Sixty angina patients were paired according to the order of hospital admission and the types of angina and randomly divided into 2 groups: routine treatment group (nitrate βreceptor blocker, Clopidogrel Hydrogen) and aspirin group (routine treatment and aspirin tablets 100 mg/d). Serum endothelin1 (ET1), nitric oxide (NO), flowmediated vasodilation (FMD) and SF were determined before and after treatment of 4 weeks. Thirty healthy subjects were chosen as the normal control group. Statistic analysis was performed in each group and between groups. RESULTS: ① Compared with normal controls, ET1 of angina patients increased significantly (P<0.05), and NO, FMD and SF decreased significantly (P<0.05). ② Compared with those before treatment, NO, FMD and SF of aspirin group increased significantly after treatment (P<0.05) and ET1 decreased significantly (P<0.05). ③ Compared with those in routine treatment group, NO, FMD and SF of aspirin group increased significantly after treatment (P<0.05) and ET1 decreased significantly (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Lowdosage aspirin can distinctly improve vascular endothelial function of angina patients, which is related to the increase of SF. ......
