Changes in interleukin level of cerebrospinal fluid in patients with craniocerebral injury

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To observe the level changes of ILª²1¦Â, ILª²6 and ILª²8 in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in patients with craniocerebral injury by studying the correlation between the levels and the degree of craniocerebral injury. METHODS: In this study, thirtyª²two patients were divided into two groups. Patients with GCS¡Ü8 were in one group and patients with GCS>8 were in the other group. Levels of ILª²1¦Â, ILª²6 and ILª²8 in the cerebrospinal fluid were determined on the first, third, seventh day after injury. RESULTS: The levels of ILª²1¦Â, ILª²6 and ILª²8 level in the cerebrospinal fluid increased on the first day after injury, then decreased on the third day, and increased again on the seventh day. There was no difference in the level of ILª²1¦Â and ILª²6 between the moderate and severe group and the mild group. The level of ILª²8 in the moderate and severe group was higher than that in the mild group. CONCLUSION: The levels of ILª²1¦Â, ILª²6 and ILª²8 in the cerebrospinal fluid in patients with craniocerebral injury increase dramatically, and the level of ILª²8 in the cerebrospinal fluid is higher in the moderate and severe patients with craniocerebral injury. ......
