     Detection of transcription mediator CBF1 expression in mice bone tissue

    【Abstract】AIM: To investigate the expression pattern of transcription mediator CBF1 in adult mice bone tissue and in embryonic bone-forming cells. METHODS: Real time RTPCR was used to determine the mRNA level of CBF1 in multiple organs of mice, including bone tissue. In situ hybridization was used to detect the expression of CBF1 during osteogenesis in mice embryos. RESULTS: Expression of CBF1 is ubiquitous in adult mice organs. Bone tissue exhibits relatively high level of CBF1 expression (although not the highest). Strong staining was found in embryonic phalange and rib chondrocytes of mice. Osteoblasts in rib and vertebra exhibited extremely strong staining. Faint staining was also observed in osteocytes. CONCLUSION: Transcription mediator CBF1 is involved both in osteogenesis and in the remodeling and metabolism of mature bone. ......
