    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To observe the changes of the cell cycle and cytoskeleton of rat calvarial osteoblasts after stimulated by recombinant human growth hormone (rhª²gh ). METHODS: Osteoblastic cells from rats were incubated in the medium supplemented wiht rhª²gh at different doses (10, 200 ¦Ìg/L), and then the changes of cytoskeleton and cell cycle were detected. RESULTS: Quantitative analysis showed that osteoblasts were arrested in S phase and G2/M phase, however, green fluorescent density and red fluorescent density (nuclei) were not significantly changed. The filamentous Fª²actin distributed in bunches and was stained strongly and evenly. The outline of nucleus was clear. CONCLUSION: Rhª²gh exerts a direct anabolic effect on osteoblasts, but no obvious effect on cytoskeleton of rat osteoblasts. ......
