How to increase the level of medical quality by macro-administration measure

    Abstract

    OBJECTIVE Through using PDCA (plan,do,check,action) cycle to improve medical quality, to explore the effect of macro-administration to increase the level of medical technology.METHODS We selected the neonatal asphyxia and postpartum hemorrhage as quality control object, and selected 2002 which was before the medical quality macro-administration as control group,2004 and 2005 which after the medical quality macro-administration as study group. According to PDCA quality control theory we monitoring and control the incidence rate of neonatal asphyxia and postpartum hemorrhage.RESULTS The incidence rate of neonatal asphyxia on 2002 year before the medical quality macro-administration was 2.6%, 2004 and 2005 after the medical quality macro-administration was 1.4% and 1.0%, there was significant difference between control and study group(P<0.05).The incidence rate of postpartum hemorrhage on 2002 before the medical quality macro-administration was 7.5%, 2004 and 2005 after the medical quality macro-administration was 5.9% and 3.9%, there was significant difference between control and study group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION This study explore to decrease the incidence rate of neonatal asphyxia and postpartum hemorrhage by PDCA quality control theory, the incidence rate of neonatal asphyxia and postpartum hemorrhage was significant decreased, this result suggest that the scientific medical quality macro-administration to increase the level of medical quality had effectiveness, we should enhance the training and using the scientific quality management method to the hospital manager. ......
