    【Abstract】 AIM: To explore the expression of KLK11 gene and its clinical significance in human ovarian cancer. METHODS: RTPCR and immunohistochemistry were used to detect the expression of KLK11 mRNA and protein in 48 patients with ovarian cancer. The relation between the expression and the clinicopathological changes was analyzed statistically. RESULTS: KLK11 protein was found in the cytoplasm. Expression of KLK11 at mRNA and protein levels showed significantly higher in the patients at the advanced stages (Ⅲ or Ⅳ) compared to the early stages (Ⅰor Ⅱ) (P<0.05), and it was significantly higher in the patients with poor or moderate cancer differentiation than the ones with high differentiation(P<0.05). On the other hand, no significant association was found between KLK11 expression and histological typing of ovarian carcinoma. CONCLUSION: KLK11 expression might be related to the malignancy of ovarian carcinoma. ......
