Incidence and arteriographic features of congenital coronary artery anomalies

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To study the incidence and arteriographic features of congenital coronary artery anomalies. METHODS: All of the patients who have undergone diagnostic coronary angiography from 1991 were retrospectively analyzed in aspects of their incidence and features. RESULTS: Among the 1524 patients, 21 (1.38%) cases were found to have the anomalies, including anomalous coronary origin (11 cases) and congenital coronary fistula (10 cases). The further analysis revealed that male patients suffered mainly from coronary fistula, and female patients from anomalous coronary origin. CONCLUSION: Coronary artery anomalies are rare in congenital cardiovascular disease; selective coronary angiography is an important means for its finial diagnosis. ......
