    Abstract：Li Shi-Zhen used formula of alcohol and charcoal extensively in the prescription for metrorrhagia and metrostaxis in his Compendium of Materia Medica.This article discusses the significance and effect of the use of the formula of alcohol and charcoal when someone treats metrorrhagia and metrostaxis and the subsequent influence.
