六、本研究存在的局限与展望
(一)本研究取样存在局限性
研究教师婚姻质量，应该涉及城镇、乡村的教师，且应该包括大学老师，但是由于取样的不便以及时间的限制，本文研究的对象是深圳中小学教师，分析的结果也仅能反映城市中小学教师的情况。考虑到城市与乡村在地区经济状况、文化背景及教育质量方面存在的差异性，这些地区的教师在防御方式与婚姻质量的关系上可能也会存在差异，所以不能仅以城市样本量研究的结果来代表普遍教师的情况。进一步研究可以对乡村教师进行取样以及对大学教师进行取样，探讨城市与乡村的教师在防御方式与婚姻质量上是否存在显著性差异，以及不同类型学校(小学、中学、大学)教师在防御方式与婚姻质量上的差异性。此外，由于采用网络形式发放问卷，被试答题的主动性和真实性可能难以把握。
(二)对防御方式和教师婚姻质量的关系探讨深度不够
本研究对于防御方式和教师婚姻质量的关系研究只是停留在相关分析与差异性的检验上。在防御方式和教师婚姻质量的因果关系上，还需要更进一步的探讨，这样才能对教育实践提出具有针对性和操作性的建议。对于防御方式是如何影响教师婚姻质量的路径也有待进一步的研究。
