    Abstract

    AIM: To evaluate the value of serum macrophage inhibitory cytokine-1 (MIC-1) as a novel marker for diagnosing pancreatic cancer.

    METHODS: Serum MIC-1 levels were measured by sandwich ELISA assay in 101 patients with pancreatic adenocarcinomas, 10 patients with benign pancreatic tumors, and 50 healthy control subjects.
