China Holds "4Th Annual Conference Of China Diabet
"The annual conference of the 4th anniversary of the Chinese education program" successfully held on May 7th 2002. This program formally started in October 1997, and "teacher training bases for diabetes mellitus" were established respectively in Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai etc., and many courses of training program were held for fostering large numbers of excellent teachers in the field of prevention and treatment of diabetes. Nearly one hundred thousand trainees including physicians and patients joined the training courses. The participants of this conference consisted of the higher officers of the Chinese Ministry of Health, the Chinese Medical Association, health management officers at different levels of the Chinese Center of Disease Control and prophylaxis, and the advanced group of advisors both home and aboard, the volunteer teachers, as well as the excellent trainee from all circles.
