Abstract
AIM To investigate the PCR assay as a procedure for the diag nosis of gastric H. pylori (Hp) infection in comparison with rapid urease te st and ELISA for serum Hp-IgG.
METHODS 154 patients with gastrointestinal disorders were sel ected endoscopically. Hp infection in gastric antral biopsy specimens was identi fied by the PCR to amplify the specific Hp urease genes fragment (PCR Hp-DNA). Specific Hp urease genes oligonucliotide primers specific for Hp (16s rRNA). At the same time the Hp infection was examined with urease test in gastric mucosa and ELISA for s erum specific anti-Hp-IgG. ......
