Abstract
AIM To study the relationship between the expression of tran sforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF-β1) and hepatic vascular proliferation and fibrosis in chronic hepatitis B (CHB).
METHODS Immunohistochemical staining (TGF-β1) and in situ hybridization (TGF-β1 mRNA) were performed on hepatic tissues of 120 cases of CHB and 50 cases of rats induced by CCl4. The relationship between the expression of α-SMA, FN, LN, Co-Ⅳ and TGF-β1 were also determined. ......
