    Abstract

    AIM:To study the serological and histological changes of rhes us monkey infected with HGV.

    METHODS:Full-length HGV RNA transcripts were intrahepatically i noculated into rhesus monkey. The sera of the experimental rhesus monkey were co llected weekly after the inoculation to detect ALT, anti-HGV and HGV RNA. The b iopsy and autopsy were carried out for the histological and immunohistochemical examinations. RT-PCR was performed to detect the existence of HGV genomic RNA a nd negative RNA among five tissues (heart, kidney, spleen, liver and pancreas). Ultrastructure of liver tissue was observed under electron microscopy. ......
