    AbstractAIM: To investigate the impact of psychosocial parameters on thequality of life (QOL) in healthcare seeking patients with irritable bowelsyndrome (IBS).

    METHODS: QOL and psychosocial parameters in consecutive 41 patients withIBS irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) according to Rome II criteria weremeasured by questionnaires including IBS-QOL, Pittsburgh sleep qualityindex (PSQI) and symptom checklist-90 (SCL-90), coping style, socialsupports, respectively. In the meantime, 37 normal subjects were served asa control group. The relationship between IBS-QOL and psychosocialparameters was investigated by regression analysis. ......
