    Abstract

    AIM: To investigate the effect of alanyl-glutamine dipeptiven(Ala-Gln) on the content of glutathione (GSH) and the expression of Bcl-2and Bax protein during hepatic ischemia and reperfusion injury (HIRI) inrats.

    METHODS: A total of 48 Wistar rats were randomly divided intoglutamine group (group G) and control group (group C), which werepretreated with Gln and normal saline, respectively. The liver wassubjected to warm ischemia by Pringle method for 30 min, and thenreperfused. The serum samples were colleted 1 and 24 h after thereperfusion, and the level of serum ALT was measured ......
