Not long ago, at the 14th Congress of the World Association for Medical Law (WAML) held in Holland, Dr. Wu Chongqi, deputy director of the Chinese Association for Health Law was elected as a member of the executive committee of the WAML. This is the first time for a Chinese person to be elected as the member.
The Congress of WAML is held every two years for the study and discussion of the related problems in medicine and law. This year a total of 528 representatives from 88 countries attended the conference. The Chinese delegation consisted of 16 members and 3 papers were presented for exchange. Maintenance of the right of health of the patients and the right of professional execution of the physicians were the hot spot discussions in this conference., http://www.100md.com
