The PUMC Hospital merges with the hospital of Post
Merging and reorganization of PUMC hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Science with the General Hospital affiliated to the Ministry of Information and Industry had formally been completed recently. This was considered by the related leading members in the government as a pioneer measure of significant importance in the reform of medical care system in China.
The merged and reorganized PUMC hospital is divided into the Eastern and Western areas, with an amplified scope of working space; the area of housing used for medical service is now over 170,000 square meters, holding nearly 2000 hospital beds and more than 30 operating rooms. The staff numbered 3355, among them, nearly 400 had titles above the level of associate professor. The PUMC hospital is at present the general hospital rendering top-notch medical service with multiple items on top of the list in China, i.e. the largest faculty, the biggest group of medical personnel conferred upon with the higher professional titles, the largest number of persons with high professional title of technology, the largest group of medical specialists attending the out-patient-departments, the largest number of advanced medical armamentarium, the largest number of hospital beds, and the largest number of daily performed surgical procedures., 百拇医药
