     Effects of infrasound on rat cardiac cell apoptosis and vascular endothelia damage

    【Abstract】 AIM: To observe the changes of cardiac cell apoptosis and vascular endothelia damage of the rats in treating groups exposed to infrasound with 8 Hz of 130 dB. METHODS: Using infrasound, the rats were exposed for 0, 7, 14, 21, and 28 d, 2 h daily,then the apoptosis protein Bax、Bclx and ET1, NO were measured after exposure. RESULTS: After exposure of infrasound, The expression of Bax and Bclx in treating groups compared with the control group was significantly increased with time (P<0.01). The increasing expression of bclx compared with that of bax was statistically declined with time. The changes of ET1 contents in rat plasma: All groups were increased (P<0.01), mostly at 7 d, more at 21 d and 28 d than at 14 d, least at 14 d. After exposure of infrasound, the change of NO contents in plasma: NO contents in rat plasma declined significantly at 7 d (P<0.05) and 14 d (P<0.01), then 0, 21 and 28 d normally (P>0.05). CONCLUSION: Infrasound can induce the cardiac cell apoptosis and damage the vascular endothelia. These changes depend on the amounts of infrasound and time exposed to. ......
