【Abstract】 AIM: To study the dynamic changes of serum high sensitivity Creactive protein (hsCRP), interleukin6 (IL6) and tumor necrosis factorα (TNFα), which lead to inflammatory and/or immunological dysfunctions in the patients suffering from acute cerebral vessel disease (ACVD). METHODS: Serum hsCRP level detected by ELISA and TNFα and IL6 levels detected by RIA were determined at the 1st, 3rd, 7th and 15th d from 70 ACVD patients and from 30 agematching healthy persons as control. Data of each parameter investigated were analyzed for statistical difference between cases and control group by ttest, and correlation between the levels of the markers at different times were compared. Analysis of variance(ANOVA) was performed on sample means. RESULTS: Levels of serum hsCRP, IL6 and TNFα at the 1st and 3rd d of cases were higher than those of the control group (P<0.01), but decreased at the 7th d and restored to normal at the 15th d. These three markers were positively correlated to the early stage of ACVD as well as stroke severity(r>0.5, P<0.05). CONCLUSION: HsCRP, IL6 and TNFα participate in initiation and propagation steps of ACVD. It inferred that the respective antagonists of hsCRP, IL6 and TNFα may possess a high potential as the treatment strategy for ACVD. ......
