    Experimental study on prolongation of survival time of mice skin homograft by antiThy1 monoclonic antibody

    【Abstract】 AIM: To study the effects of local application of antilymphocytic monoclinic antibody Thy1 on the survival time of skin homograft. METHODS: The distribution of splenic T lymphocyte subsets was measured by indirect immunofluorescence assay and the observation of histology was used as the indicator of rejection. RESULTS: The antiThy1 monoclonic antibody significantly prolonged the survival time of mice skin homograft (P<0.01). Decrease (or reverse) of CD4+/CD8+ ratio could be used as effective indicators of skin homograft rejection. CONCLUSION: Our findings provide some evidence for the application of antihuman T cell monoclinic antibody in prolonging the survival time of skin graft.
