     Relationship between polymorphism of CⅡTA gene promoters and the chronicity of hepatitis B

    【Abstract】 AIM: To explore the relationship between polymorphism of CⅡTA gene promoters and the chronicity of hepatitis B. METHODS: The promoterⅠ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ of CⅡTA gene was analyzed, respectively with polymerase chain reaction single strand conformation polymorphism (PCRSSCP) in 102 patients with chronic hepatitis B and 80 normal controls. RESULTS: No abnormal migration was found in the PCRSSCP analysis of the two groups. CONCLUSION: No polymorphism in promoterⅠ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ of CⅡTA gene is found in the analyzed subjects. This results suggest that the promoter of CⅡTA gene may be a conserved domain.
