    Correlations between personality and the competency of cadets in military academy

    【Abstract】 AIM: To analyze the correlation between personality and competency of cadets in military academy. METHODS: Three hundred and thirtynine cadets from a military academy were tested with the revised Chinese version of MBTI personality type inventory and later were evaluated with the competency model of cadets in military academy. Relations between the competency model and personality characteristics were studied. RESULTS: Significant correlations were found between the competency model and personality characteristics (P<005). There was significant difference in factors of MBTI between the best group and the worst group (P<005) and the personality characteristics of the best group showed personality inclinations to E, S, T and J.CONCLUSION: Revised Chinese version of MBTI personality type inventory has good credibility in predicting the competency of cadets in military academy. ......
