Variations of contingent negative variations and mismatch negative in patients with postª²traumatic stress disorder

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To investigate the variations of contingent negative variations (CNV) and mismatch negative (MMN) in patients with postª²traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). METHODS: Sixtyª²six cases of patients with PTSD and 36 normal controls (NC) were involved.The CNV and MMN were recorded with Nicolet Bravo Instrument.RESULTS: Compared with NC group, PTSD group showed delayed M1 latency and increased M2 amplitude (P<0ª±01). The post imperative negative variation (PINV) emergence rate of CNV in PTSD group was significant different from that in NC group (P<0ª±01). Compared with NC group,PTSD group showed further prolonged MMN latency and higher increased MMN amplitude (P<0ª±01). CONCLUSION: The characteristics of CNV and MMN can served as a physiological index in diagnosing of PTSD. ......
