【Abstract】 AIM: To investigate the effects of renal ischemic preconditioning (RIP) on apoptosis and expressions of Bcl2, Bax and Fas proteins in immature myocardial cells in rabbits. METHODS: Isolated working rabbit heart model was used in this study and 24 immature rabbits were randomly divided into control group, ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) group and RIP group. The TUNEL, nucleosomal ladder of DNA fragments and the expression of Bcl2, Bax and Fas proteins were detected. RESULTS: Compared with that in I/R group, TUNEL cell apoptosis was lower [(4.19±1.13)% vs (12.30±2.10)%, P<0.01], ladder of DNA fragments was lower (57 350±1765 vs 135 200±3370, P<0.01), Bcl2 expression was higher (33 525±1026 vs 12 385±860, P<0.01), Bax expression was lower (8640±768 vs 32 472±1128, P<0.01) and Fas expression was lower (8936±912 vs 32 100±1260, P<0.01) in RIP group. CONCLUSION: RIP decreases immature myocardial cell apoptosis and affects the expressions of Bcl2, Bax and Fas proteins. ......
