     Expression and significance of TM4SF9 in laterally spreading colorectal tumor

    【Abstract】 AIM: To investigate different expressions of TM4SF9 in laterally spreading tumor (LST), Lovo and SW480 cell lines and to study the relationship between TM4SF9 mRNA expression and the adhesion ability of these cell lines. METHODS: Common different expression genes among those cell lines were detected by microarray technology and TM4SF9 was screened out for further research. Semiquantitative reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction (RTPCR) technology was used to demonstrate the result and the adhesion ability was tested by adhesion experiment. RESULTS: Microarray showed that there was a common differential expression in TM4SF9 among LST, SW480 and Lovo cell lines and this result was determined by semiquantitative RTPCR. Adhesion experiment indicated that the cell line with the highest TM4SF9 expression showed the best adhesion ability. CONCLUSION: There exists a common different expression in TM4SF9 among LST, SW480 and Lovo cell lines. TM4SF9 is overexpressed in Lovo which has the strongest adhesion ability and may regulate specific biological functions of LST. ......
