Effect of sodium ferulate on activation of postsynaptic density┐95after tran┐sient cerebral artery occlusion in the rat brain

    Abstract:To investigate the neuroprotective efficacy of sodi-um ferulate(SF)，and the effects of SF on expression of postsynaptic density-95(PSD-95)in rat brain following tran-sient focal cerebral ischemic injury using neurobehavioral e-valuation，infarct volume assessment and Western blot analy-sis.It was confirmed that SF could significantly improve neu-rologic function deficit，reduce cerebral infarct volume at24h after reperfusion，and markedly potentiate expression of PSD-95after reperfusion，which implies SF can alleviate cerebral ischemic damages probably via enhancing activation of PSD-95.
