Questionnaire survey of asthmatic patients using technique of MDI andturbuhaler and analysis of the effects of health education

Abstract:Objective To investigate how asthmatic patients handle metered dose inhaler(MDI)and turbuhaler.Method Asthmatic patients having used MDI and turbuhaler for sometime were investigated，who demonstrated the using of MDI or turbuhaler2-3times，just as the way they used at home or community.After careful observation，their mistakes were found out and recorded，individual health education and instruction of using MDI and turbuhaler were given.Results The rate of correct use of MDI was12.8%(19.149).The rate of correct using of turbuhaler was41.5%(17.41).After health education and skill training，they respectively went up to81.9%(122.149)and87.8%(36.41).Conclusion At present health edu-cation and management of asthma is still weak.It is an important component element to raise asthma control rate. ......
