Hormone replacement therapy after combined treatment of cervical carcinoma£º 85 cases report

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To assess the effect of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) after the combined treatment of cervical carcinoma so as to improve the prognosis of patients who received the combined therapy.METHODS: Fiftyª²nine patients of cervical carcinoma received HRT,of whom 35 received therapy of estrogen and 24 received combined therapy of estrogen and progesterone.Twentyª²six other patients were included in control group.The Kuppemen integral of postª²ovariectomy symptoms,serum lipid and level of the sex hormone at the time before and 6 months after the treatment were observed.RESULTS: Compared with that in control group,the Kuppemen integral of postª²ovariectomy symptoms inpatients who received HRT significantly decreased(P<0ª±05).The level of the lowª²density lipid decreased while the highª²density lipid increased (P<0ª±05).The patients had a lower level of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH)and luteinizing hormone (LH)(P<0ª±05).CONCLUSION: HRT can significantly relieve the postª²ovariectomy symptoms of patients receiving combined therapy and can improve their prognosis. ......
