Expression of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor KDR in osteosarcoma and its relationship with microvessel density

【Abstract】 AIM: To explore the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) KDR and its relation with microvessel density(MVD). METHODS: CD34 and KDR were investigated in the specimens from 102 osteosarcoma patients. MVD was determined with double blind counting. RESULTS: KDR was strongly expressed in osteosarcoma cells, and weakly expressed in vascular endothelial cells. MVD was significantly different between KDR negative and positive groups (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: High expression of KDR may be related to oeteosarcoma. ......
