【摘要】 干细胞是一类具有自我更新和多向分化潜能的细胞群体。近年来干细胞的应用几乎涉及到所有生命科学和生物医学领域。本文概述了干细胞的生物学特性，并综述了干细胞的可塑性、分离培养及其在基础研究及临床上的应用的研究进展。最后，展望了今后研究的方向。

    【Abstract】 Stem cells are non-specialized cells which have the ability of self-renewal and multiple differentiation potential. The application of stem cells has nearly involved in all the research field on life sciences and biomedicine in recent years. This article summarizes the biological characteristic of stem cells, and reviews the latest progress in the study on stem cell’s plasticity, isolation, culture in vitro, and its extensive application in basic research and clinical application. The prospects of stem cells are also discussed.
