     Determination of aloin in aloe barbadensis by HPLC

    【Abstract】 AIM: To describe a simple and rapid reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography method in applied to the content of aloin in aloe barbadensis miller. METHODS： A column ZODBAXC18(46 mm×150 mm,5 μm)was used with a mobile phase of methanolwaterphosphate buffer(45∶55∶05), the flow rate being 1 mL/min, detection wavelength at 356 nm and the column temperature being 25℃. RESULTS: The linear the range of aloin was between 0596119mg with a correlation coefficient of 09996 and the average recovery of the method was 978% and RSD is 102%. CONCLUSION: As the method is convenient, economical and accurate with good reproducibility, it can be used in the quantitative analysis of aloin in aloe barbadensis.
