     Role of kadsurenone in treatment of experimental acute pancreatitis in rats

    【Abstract】 AIM: To explore the effect of kadsurenone on inflammatory mediators in rats during acute pancreatitis (AP). METHODS: A total of 104 SD male rats which weighed 250-300 g were randomly divided into sham group (n=24), AP group (n=40) and kadsurenone group (n=40). The animals in the groups were killed in 3, 6, 12, 24 h after operation for experimental observation. RESULTS: The serum levels of PAF, TNFα and IL6 of AP rats significantly increased (P<0.01), and the serum level of TNFα got to a peak at 6h and the serum IL6 at 12 h after operation (P<0.01 vs sham group in each period of time). After kadsurenone was used in AP rats, the serum levels of PAF, TNFα and IL6 were significantly decreased (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Kadsurenone can inhibit inflammatory mediators and relieve the damages of the pancreas or lung in AP rats. ......
