    The stomach of the animal Sus scrofa demestica Brisson, belonging to the Suidae family.

    Pork stomach should be pale white. Store loosely wrapped in the refrigerator for no more than one day. Pork stomach is available in supermarkets and specialty butcher shops.

    Properties:

    Sweet in flavor, slightly warm in nature, it is related to the spleen and stomach channels.

    Functions:

    Tonifies consumption, strengthens the spleen and the stomach, relieves accumulated food.

    Applications:

    1. For weak stomach, diarrhea, poor appetite, fatique:

    Cut up a clean pork stomach into pieces and boil the pieces with 100 g. of rice and 20 g. of Chinese yam. Add fresh ginger or salt for seasoning for the porridge.

    2. For stomach pain due to deficiency and coldness of the stomach and spleen, particularly if one likes warm drinks and food and has cold limbs, vomiting clear fluids:

    Stew a clean pork stomach with 10 g. of fresh ginger and 3 g. of Chinese cassia bark for two hours. Consume the pork stomach in two servings.
