New Investigator Awards
http://www.100md.com 《动脉硬化血栓血管生物学》
Beginning in 2005, three new investigators will be honored each year for their outstanding papers in Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology. The first authors of one original paper each year in each section of the journal (Vascular Biology, Atherosclerosis and Lipoproteins, and Thrombosis) will be honored. Goals of the awards are to recognize outstanding work by new investigators, and to encourage investigators to send their best work to ATVB. Each recipient of the award will receive a plaque and a check for $2500, funded by Lippincott, Williams, & Wilkins.

    Eligibility

The first or last author must be an Assistant Professor (or equivalent) or a more junior rank at the time of submission of the manuscript. Authors should indicate, at the time of submission of the manuscript, that they would like to be considered for the award. For papers that have already been submitted or accepted, authors should indicate by email to an ATVB editorial office that they would like to be considered. Candidates should also submit a two-page biographical sketch, including a list of key full-length papers.

    Criteria and Selection

Awards will be based on the quality of the paper that is published and, to a lesser extent, other achievements of the author, as summarized in the biographical sketch. To be considered, a paper must be published in 2005. Awards are also planned for subsequent years.

Selection committees for each of the awards will include Editors and Associate Editors from the Asian, European. and U.S. offices. Recipients of Awards will be recognized in the Journal.

If you have questions about eligibility, criteria, or other aspects of the awards, please contact an ATVB editorial office.
