    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To explore the stability and correlation of Cattellª²16 personality factors(16PF) and Symptom Checklistª²90(SCLª²90). METHODS: By measuring 200 male cadets in personality traits with 16PF and in psychological health with SCLª²90 twice during a period of 10 months, the correlation analysis was conducted. RESULTS: The same indexes of 16PF and SCLª²90 were positively correlated to each other (P<0.05). The correlation coefficients of 16PF were from 0.36 to 0.72; the correlation coefficients of SCLª²90 were from 0.30 to 0.57, and some of the indexes of 16PF were significantly correlated to the total score of SCLª²90 (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Both 16PF and SCLª²90 were stable. Some of the factors of 16PF were correlated with the total score of SCLª²90, which suggested that the limitation in personality may lead to psychological health problems. ......
