     Chemical composition of volatile oil in Rhodiola dumulosa

    【Abstract】AIM: To study the chemical composition of volatile oil from Rhodiola dumulosa. METHODS: The volatile oil from Rhodiola dumulosa was obtained by steam distillation method, and analyzed by gas chromatographymass spectrometry (GCMS) for its chemical composition. RESULTS: Totally 38 compounds were identified, accounting for 91.12% of the total GC peak area of the volatile oil. The main components were myristic acid (19.37%), palmitic acid methyl ester(7.56%), l(+)ascorbic acid 2,6dihexadecanoate(6.27%), 8,11octadecadienoicacid methyl ester(5.22%), heptadecane(4.82%), lauryl ethoxylate(2.98%), 2isopropyl5methyl1heptanol (2.62%), tetracosanoic acid methyl ester(2.12%) ......
