Abstract
AIM: To investigate the role of human telo-merase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) in the multistep colorectal carcinogenesis and assess its relationship with clinicopathologic types, lymph node metastasis and relapse of tumors.
METHODS: The levels of hTERT expression were detected by immunohistochemistry in colorectal cancers (n = 45), colorectal adenomas (n = 16) and normal tissues (n = 10).
