     In vivo cardiac electrophysiological and hemodynamic effects of rhBNP in rabbits

    【Abstract】 AIM: To observe the effects of shortterm infusion of recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide (rhBNP) on electrophysiologic parameters and hemodynamics in healthy rabbits. METHODS: In 12 healthy rabbits, hemodynamic and electrophysiologic parameters were assessed during infusion of rhBNP at 0.09μg/(kg·min).With monophasic action potential (MAP) recording technique, MAPs of epi, mid and endolayers of myocyte were recorded simultaneously by composite plungeneedle electrode across left ventricular wall. Curve of arterial blood pressure and left intraventricular pressure were recorded through common carotid arterial cannula. RESULTS: Infusion of rhBNP decreased hemodynamic parameters including SAP, DAP, mean arterial pressure(MAP) and LVEDP, LVSP (P<0.05);there were no significant changes in left ventricular pressure [ (±dp/dt)max]; there were no significant changes in electrophysiologic parameters including MAPs of epi, mid and endo myocardium and surface ECG variable. CONCLUSION: In healthy rabbits, shortterm infusion of rhBNP can change hemodynamic parameters but has no significant effects on electrophysiologic parameters. ......
