Database and Web Server Issues
http://www.100md.com 《核酸研究医学期刊》
The annual Database and Web Server Issues of Nucleic Acids Research have become increasingly popular since their inceptions in 1993 and 2001, respectively. We recognize that these issues are most valuable in their online form, since this permits immediate access to the database or server described in each article. With this in mind, beginning with the 2006 Database and Web Server Issues, online publication will become the primary form of publication of these special issues. However, print issues will be available for purchase outside of the normal journal subscription cost. When considering the merits of the contributions submitted, the main emphasis will continue to be on quality. However, one of the benefits of online publication will be the opportunity to publish more articles than might be possible based on print considerations alone.

Deposition of articles in open access repositories

All NAR articles are deposited in PubMed Central immediately after publication, which means that publication in NAR is fully compliant with the deposition policies of both the National Institutes of Health in the US and the Wellcome Trust in the UK. Thus, authors do not need to deposit their article themselves in an open access repository as this is done for them automatically. However, authors should note that, under the terms of the NAR Open Access license, they are always free to deposit their article themselves in institutional and/or centrally organized repositories. If doing this, authors are urged to deposit the final, validated version of the manuscript rather than a pre-publication version, so as to avoid confusion due to the existence of different versions of the same paper. The easiest way to ensure that it is the final published version that is deposited is to retrieve it from either the NAR website (http://nar.oupjournals.org/) or from PubMed Central (http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/).

Full self-archiving guidelines for NAR can be found at http://www.oxfordjournals.org/access_purchase/self-archiving_policyc.html
